Glad Tidings Assembly of God is now open. We have opened under guidelines in order to adhere to government and health regulations. In order to comply with the Mayor’s requirements, we are asking that each person (over the age of two) adhere to the requirement and wear a face covering. You can find out more information about the Mayor's requirements at

High Risk Groups
If you are at higher risk due to underlying medical conditions or are of age 65 or older, or if you do not feel comfortable congregating, feel free to stay home. We encourage you to stay home and continue viewing our services online.

If you are sick, have a fever, show any signs of cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have been in contact with anyone who has had COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please stay home. COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, new loss of taste or smell, etc. You can find a more extensive list of symptoms on the CDC website.

When you arrive, we encourage you to try to park in every other parking space if possible. When you are exiting and entering your vehicle, please be mindful and keep distance from others who are also entering and exiting their vehicles.

Entering & Exiting the Building
Only our front entryway doors will be used to enter and exit the building. Please do not enter or exit the building through rear door, unless there is an emergency. When you enter, you will be directed to a seating area for your family/household. At the end of service, we will dismiss you and direct you how to exit the building.

Social Distancing
Please physically distance yourself at least 6 feet from other groups of people at all times. Families within the same household are welcome to sit and be together.

Avoid congregating in the hallways and entryways to allow enough space for others to enter while social distancing. Avoid hugs, shaking hands, and any other physical contact with others outside your family household. A wave or thumbs up will be appropriate.

Food and Drinks
The church kitchen will be closed. We will not have any food or drinks before or after services. Drinking fountains will not be available for use. We will have bottled water available as you enter if needed.

Good Hygiene
Wash your hands well for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water often. We will also have hand sanitizer available throughout the building to use when entering and exiting the building. If you need to cough or sneeze, please cover your mouth and nose and cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

Wearing a Mask
The CDC recommends everyone wear a mask or cloth face covering in public.  The Mayor of Tucson, Regina Romero, has issued a proclamation requiring every person in the City of Tucson over the age of two (2) to cover their nose and mouth with a face covering when in a public setting where continuous physical distancing is difficult or impossible. In order to comply with the Mayor’s requirements, we are asking that each person (over the age of two) adhere to the requirement and wear a face covering. You can find out more information about the Mayor's requirements at

Cleaning and Sanitizing
While we cannot guarantee a germ-free environment, we are taking steps to help prevent transmission of COVID-19 by cleaning and sanitizing between services.

Our Staff and Volunteers
In order to keep you safe and healthy, our staff and volunteers will be scanned for temperature/fever, wear masks, as well as gloves in circumstances that require special handling and/or interaction with others.

Worship Services
We will have our Sunday Morning Worship Service where your whole family can worship. Spark Kids Ministry (ages 5-12) and the Nursery will be screening children’s temperatures for fever at check-in. During Wednesday Night Bible Study we will be screening temperatures for fever at check-in for Youth, Royal Rangers, and Girls' Ministries. Our Small Group will remain online on Sunday Nights with a small group meeting at the church with limited attendance due to social distancing guidelines.

Printed material such as bulletins will not be distributed. Please visit our website for all the latest information and to stay connected.

Hymnals will not be made available. However, we’ll continue to display songs on our screens.

If we have communion, individual elements will be distributed to your seat by an usher wearing a face mask and gloves.

We encourage you to continue giving online on our website, If you wish to give during service, we will have offering collections set up in the front and back of the main sanctuary (ask an usher where to find them) for you to drop your gift in before or after service. Offering envelopes and sanitized pens will be made available.

Respect and Unity
We are doing our best to both comply with regulations and keep you and those most vulnerable safe. We appreciate your cooperation with the guidelines in place. Please respect others. We cannot allow differences of opinion to cause division or controversy among the body. While we must not spread fear, we must also use wisdom and remain cautious and courteous with others. Even though we are physically distancing ourselves, we are in this together. The purpose of assembling is to worship God in unity in Christ.
